We’re pleased to launch the Charlie’s Hugs Fund, a new pilot fund in collaboration with Just A Bunch Of Roadies (JABOR), designed to make specialist mental health support more accessible to people working in live music and touring.
Charlie’s Hugs is not only a support resource, it’s a learning initiative to better understand the needs of live events professionals and how we can most effectively provide meaningful support.
The aim is simple: to reduce financial barriers to specialist mental health support and make sure more people across the global live music community can access the help they need before a crisis develops.
Who Is the Charlie’s Hug Fund For?
- Live music industry professionals with 2+ years of paid experience
- People currently employed
- People struggling with mental health, relationship, or workplace problems
- People needing to offload, set goals, make sense of things, and problem-solve
How it works:
- Complete MITC’s Confidential Interest Form below 👇
- MITC reviews application forms on a rolling basis
- If eligible, MITC will connect you to a specialist therapist
- JABOR will cover 50% of session fees for up to 10 sessions (a client cost of £50 GBP / $67 USD per session)
Because this is an initial pilot, resources are limited. We will do our best to support as many individuals as possible, and requests will be considered on a first-come, first-served basis, alongside overall fit and available capacity.
Please complete the confidential form below and, if eligible, MITC will help connect you with an appropriate therapist from our network and coordinate subsidy payment through JABOR.
PLEASE NOTE: If we are not able to accommodate you immediately, please know this is not a reflection of your need or importance. It simply reflects the constraints of this early-stage effort. As we learn and grow, our intention is to expand access and increase the level of support we can provide to our global community. We deeply appreciate your understanding—and your courage in reaching out.
