Lucy Kozak Cesnik

Psychotherapist (MMFT) she/her

About me

I’m a highly trained therapist and veteran music industry executive whose work has been recognized by Billboard, Forbes, and Nashville Business Journal. I’m dedicated to helping individuals, couples, groups and teams rediscover their potential, remove limitations, and create lives that fills them with satisfaction. Specializing in the complexities of high-demand careers and the lives that go with them, I bring targeted expertise to guide my clients toward a brighter future. Using transformative techniques like Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS), I help clients delve deep into the heart of complex issues, addressing root causes for lasting change.

My background

I’ve held executive leadership roles in some of the world’s leading entertainment companies: Beats by Dre, Creative Artists Agency, and Live Nation Entertainment/Ticketmaster. My innovative marketing work with many of the most influential creators, performers, athletes, and brands around the world during two decades as an agent at Creative Artists Agency was recognized in Billboard Magazine, Forbes, and the Nashville Business Journal. Throughout my career I’ve worked with artists with worldwide success stories including Tim McGraw, Luke Combs, Katy Perry, Florence & The Machine, Jared Leto, Zac Brown Band, Jonas Brothers, Dr. Dre, Chelsea Handler, Stevie Wonder and more.

Inspired by events in the pandemic, and after earning a Graduate degree in Marriage and Family Therapy/Counselling, I pivoted to the mental health field in 2021. I hold level 2 training certification from the prestigious IFS-Institute.

Working with me

Working with me means experiencing a blend of directness, confidence, and a laid-back style. Clients can expect sessions to be structured yet flexible, tailored to their individual needs. Whether we dive into structured exercises or engage in free-flowing conversation, the focus is always on addressing issues head-on. My approach is grounded in theories such as Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS) and psychodrama, allowing for deep exploration of root causes and facilitating lasting change. While I may suggest homework assignments to support progress outside of sessions, it’s always tailored to the individual’s needs and comfort level.
